Virgin America flight 22 , bird strike

Virgin America flight VX-22 , Airbus A320 registration N640VA from San Francisco to New York JFK it was approaching JFK airport when airplane struck a bird.The crew declared an emergency and landed safely on runway 31L.After checks they found damage to engine cowl and gear door.
