South Airlines Flight 8971 , crashed while landing

South Airlines charter flight YG-8971 , Antonov AN-24 registration UR-WRA from Odessa to Donetsk with 44 passengers and 8 crew members it was approaching Donetsk airport runway 08 when airplane crashed between the runway and the parallel taxiway.Airplane impacted the ground with right side , broke in many parts nose section came up side down , and right engine caught fire.Most of people escaped from holes and cracks from fuselage but 5 people were killed

Ukraine's Ministry of Transport reported that the crew it was not approaved to descend more than 1000 feet without visual sight of runway but they continued , without a go arround.Also airplane slow down to 190 knts which is the minimum speed then rolled 48 degress and hit ground with right wind first

The 44 passengers were football traveling for the match between Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Dortmund.

At the time of accident it was fog with visibility around 200 m
