SAS flight 7390 , emergency landing

SAS flight SK-7390 , Boeing 737-700 registration LN-TUM from Chania Greece to Stavanger Norway with 147 passengers took off from Chania and was in the initial climb when one passenger reported fuel leaking from wing.The crew informed , declared an emergency and diverted back to Chania for a safe landing.

After checks they found that the fuel leaking from wing it was from a fuel valve that regulates the fuel inside wing tanks and this is normal operation special when airplane it has full fuel.Airplane returned to service and departed again for Norway

Greek media reported that airplane received a smoke/fire indication in cockpit and diverted back to Chania for a safe landing

The airline confirmed the fuel venting from wing and informed that this is the normal operation from this fuel valve
