Delta flight DL-2078 , Airbus A320 registration N364NW from San Diego to Salt Lake city took off from runway 27 and was in the initial climb when airplane struck a bird into one of the engines.The crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet declared an emergency and diverted back to San Diego for a safe landing on runway 27

Passengers reported that shortly after take off engine made a loud bang following with strange noise from engine and after began a burning smell inside cabin
