Kolavia Flight 7K-348 , Tupolev TU-154-B2 registration RA-85588 from Surgut to Moscow Domodedovo with 116 passengers , 8 crew members and 10 off-duty crew it was taxing for take off when airplane caught fire from the rear side and spread in the fuselage.Airplane evacuated but 3 people died from smoke inhalation or burns , 43 injured 4 of them serious

Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the cause of fire it was a short circuit which started in the central area of the fuselage, ahead of the rear-mounted engines. The fire started between frames 65 and 68.

 

On 4 January 2011, the MAK reported that the engines or auxiliary power unit as the cause of the fire.

 

On 28 September 2011 the MAK released their final report in Russian reporting that the probable cause of the accident it was the fire in the right generator panel located between frames 62 and 64 in the cabin The cause of the fire was a short circuit from 2 cables that got connected together instead of being connected parallel.This caused or because of poor technical conditions or from differences in the schematic diagrams or from the design of the electrical systems
