Boeing, Turkish Airlines Finalize Order for 15 Additional 737 MAX 8s
Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Turkish Airlines today finalized an order for 15 additional 737 MAX 8s, valued at $1.6 billion at list prices. The order follows the announcement in May 2013 when the Turkish flag carrier placed the largest Boeing order in the airline's history for 50 737 MAXs and 20 Next-Generation 737s.

Boeing, Arke Celebrate Delivery of Airline's First 787 Dreamliner
Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Arke today celebrated the arrival of the airline's first 787-8 Dreamliner at the Dutch carrier's base at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The airplane departed Paine Field in Everett, Wash. on Wednesday on its delivery flight to the Netherlands. Arke is part of TUI Travel PLC, the largest tourism group in the world.

The newest member of the Airbus commercial aircraft family will be making its first airshow appearance at the 2014 Farnborough International Airshow taking place between 14-20th July.
The A350 XWB will take part in the flying and static display for the first part of the week while the A380 will be on display throughout the week.

Delta will grow its A320 Family with an order for 15 A321ceo (current engine option) aircraft to offset jet retirements. The airline has selected CFM56-5B engines from CFM International to power the newly ordered A321ceo aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery starting in 2018. CFM International is a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (Safran) and GE.

Wizz Air, the largest Central and Eastern European low cost - low fare airline, has taken delivery from Airbus of its 50th A320 Airbus aircraft during a special ceremony in Toulouse, France, taking the total of its A320 fleet to 52. The carrier was one of the first Eastern European Airlines to take delivery of an A320 with Sharklet fuel saving wing tip devices in April 2013. Wizz Air, an all Airbus operator, has ordered a total of 112 aircraft.

Saturday 10th March 2012 saw the world's largest airplane land at Glasgow Prestwick International to pick up what looked like a BIG blue generator - must have been heavy and in a hurry to be somewhere!

The European regional aircraft manufacturer ATR is proud to announce an outstanding order intake of over 100 firm ATR aircraft in the first four months of 2014. The ATR-600 series aircraft are leading the way among all regional aircraft. Since the beginning of the year, sales of new ATR -600s represent over 80% of total orders for regional aircraft below 90-seats announced so far. ATR’s commercial results achieved in the first four months of the year already surpassed outcomes of the whole 2013 with firm orders for 89 ATR -600s.
